thinking back with ccr questions

  1.       How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? The commercial portrayed a character bumping into someone and walking off with out skipping a beat. This may be a convention with many teenage students. It also tested conventions in ways. Most students may not go out of their way to pick up someone’s trash and put in a considerable amount of effort towards making their day a bit better. It also represented social groups such as high school students. As for social issues, it represented littering and bullying.   How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text? The commercial engages the audiences’ emotions. They may feel sympathy at certain times while thankful during others. It also may differ how they feel about the product being sold. It is meant to make them feel as though the gum will have a positive impact in their life if purchased. It is meant to do all of this

final project

After many days of hard work, my group and I finished our commercial. We worked hard to film and edit each scene for the finished product. The final commercial came out great. Every decision we made from the music choice to the transitions came together nicely. I really enjoyed working on this project. Acting in the commercial was a blast as well. My group members and I really worked well together. Everyone who was apart of the process did great, and I loved working with them all. I wish I could do it all again. I can't wait to see what is next in store.

the editing process: picking the music

Today the editing process began. My group and I worked throughout class towards the end staged of producing this commercial. I made sure to send any video clips I had on my phone to my groupmates laptop. On the laptop is a nice editing system. As she began editing the clips together I watched over her and gave tips on where to cut and adjust things. To pass some of the class time, I worked on some other extra work I had to get done. Once I was finished with that, I went back to helping with the editing. My groupmates and I also took some pictures of us working on the commercial together. Later during class the idea of finding the commercials music came up. I searched up what some common commercial music was. I also looked through a couple extra gum commercials as well. I listed to some music and help narrow it down to a couple options. I will help decide what to use later. Later on in class, I walked around and watched some other groups commercials. For the remainder of class I was ba

filming day: wrapping up

Image
Today my group and I finished up the filming process. We collected our props and materials and began. I walked over to our previous filming location with my fellow group member. I made sure the set and characters looked similar to our previous filming day. I rewrote the secret message. I then folded a new gum wrapper into a heart. I acted in a clip, running up to my groupmate. I then handed her the gum wrapper heart. This was my last acting clip. I then helped to film the remainder of the commercial. I helped decide on angles and placement. I helped to make sure we got enough shots of each scene. Once all clips/scenes were filmed, I helped to go over each clip to finalize before we began the editing process. I took and went over a couple behind the scenes pictures. My group and I wrapped up for the day and ended with some finishing touches. I then helped to clean up set and replace anything we had moved back to to where it was originally. I then walked back to the classroom. In the cl
