what about dangerous lies
In this film, there are many examples of close ups. For example, there are close up scenes when the main character is speaking to others which is very common throughout the movie. The movie uses close ups to put emphasis on the person's facial expressions as they speak. Another camera angle that is present in this movie is a wide shot. Wide shots are shown when there is more than one person in the frame or when the character is moving around the area of the room shown.
Common examples of Mis-En-Scene are costumes and lighting. Lighting is very important because many scenes are filmed in darker lighting. This adds suspense to the scenes. For example, when the main character speaks about the man she took care of, most scenes taken place in his house were made with darker lighting especially after he passed. Costumes were important because they gave hints on where the character would go next. When the main character dressed appropriately and professionally, it hinted that she was going to an important place (her boss's job office).
A common example of sound in the movie was dialogue. The main character is very interactive with others around her, so having dialogue was common. Another common type of sound was incidental music. This was used when a character receives a problem and is being taken to the next scene. It helps the person watching, feel how the character feels in moment.
There are also many examples of editing throughout the movie. A common type of editing was an action match. Action match is used when the main character is present in the restaurant and her boyfriend is sneaking up to the robber with a pan. Also, another technique that was placed in the film was an insert shot. It is used to focus the audience's attention on a specific detail. Like in the film important papers that determine the couple's life was used as an insert and it was used to emphasize that danger.
An element of the genre that we liked were the close ups. The closeups were used at good times throughout the movie which helped the understanding of each character's emotions. The incidental music was another element we liked. This is because it created suspense and fear for what was yet to come to the characters.
